The BFC is working on ways to continue to provide our high level training whilst abiding by Covid 19 restrictions. Our extinguisher and alarm technician courses are running albeit on reduced numbers. Our Covid 19 restrictions mean that extinguisher courses are reduced to 6 and depending on the venue alarm courses are reduced to 6 or 8. Four venues are being used, Telford, Northampton, Lincoln and Stirling (Scotland), so you may have to travel a little further than normal. Each delegate will have their temperature taken and must agree to give a personal phone number for track and trace purposes. The extinguisher technician refresher courses are starting later at 10.00 am to allow delegates to reach the venue without the need for a hotel in most cases.
Your customers are rightly concerned that they remain compliant with the fire regulations and in turn, it is essential that the technician who turns up to carry out the installation/maintenance is also compliant. All technicians to claim competency must be correctly qualified and in the case of extinguisher technicians must ensure their refresher training is up to date
