The items you should enclose with your application are:
  1. Application form
  2. Current joining fee of £293.75 inc. vat payable to “The British Fire Consortium”
  3. Copy of your insurance certificate
  4. Brief history of your business on your official headed notepaper to include your full Company address, telephone & fax numbers and reasons for applying for membership of The British Fire Consortium

All members must have adequate Public Liability Insurance. Efficacy cover (failure to perform) is strongly encouraged by The British Fire Consortium, as is ISO 9002. In cases of a sole trader, he or she must be able to provide cover during sickness, holidays or other absences. Other Consortium members would be pleased to help out in certain circumstances.
