BFC member, Safelincs Ltd, has won a major contract with Kirklees Council to supply up to 100,000 carbon monoxide alarms over the next three years. The deal forms part of the Kirklees’ warm zone initiative that includes offering cavity wall and loft installation and low energy light bulbs free of charge to all households in the region. On top of this households can request a free carbon monoxide alarm.
“We are very pleased to be associated with this innovative scheme,” said Harry Dewick-Eisele, managing director of Safelincs Ltd. “We were able to show that, as well as meeting or exceeding the required product specifications, we are able to handle the council’s flexible supply requirements. Kirklees requires not only large bulk shipments to programme partners, but also thousands of individual shipment to many Kirklees residents. Safelincs also offers customer support which made it important that each of our telephone operatives can demonstrate full product knowledge and the ability to deal effectively with any queries that may arise.” All alarms supplied by Safelincs display the Kirklees Council logo and each unit carries a unique seven year guarantee.
Safelincs is one of more than 250 member companies which comprise the British Fire Consortium, a trade association of independent companies involved in manufacture, supply, servicing and installation of a whole range of fire and safety equipment.
